Complete Discord two-factor login in Franz

Discord can ask for a second factor after you enter your email and password. Franz shows Discord's own login flow, so use the same verification method you use in a browser.

Use your normal Discord second factor

Use a passkey, authenticator app code, backup code, or another enabled two-factor method. Keep the Discord service open in Franz while you finish the prompt.

If a passkey prompt opens through the operating system or browser, complete it there and return to Franz. Some passkey flows briefly move focus away from the service window.

Do not reload during verification

Wait for Discord to confirm the login before reloading. A reload can restart the verification step and make it look like the code or passkey failed.

When an authenticator code is rejected, check the device time on the phone that generates the code. Time drift can make one-time codes fail even when the password is correct. If you are using a backup code, make sure it has not already been used.

Expect trusted-device cookies to expire

Discord may remember the Franz session as a trusted device, but that trust is stored in cookies and can expire. If Discord asks for two-factor login again later, complete the prompt again rather than clearing all service data first.

Once Discord is signed in, keep it beside your other Franz messaging services without opening another browser tab.
